Xbox 360: Gears of War 2

Como no ibamos a dedicar un post a uno de los juegos que más vicios nos está dando últimamente? Algunos de los que tenemos cuenta Gold del Xbox Live nos estamos pasando muchas noches jugando partidas entre nosotros, ya sean en modo historia cooperativo o en modo Horda o cualquier otra modalidad.

Os animo a todos los que tengáis una cuenta Gold que os pilléis el juego, ya que cuantos más juguemos a la vez más divertido será.

Por cierto, según anuncia la web oficial www.gearsofwar.com, ayer domingo se acabaron los 12 días del Gearsmas, coincidiendo con los días de navidad, y los cuales han venido acompañados de suculentas sorpresas y recompensas. Aquí os dejo las que eran:

CELEBRATE THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS - GEARS-STYLE

• This holiday, Epic Games has a special present for all you Gearheads out there… actually, 12 presents, along with a few other surprises as well! Beginning December 23, the Gears multiplayer experience will transform into the 12 Days of Gearsmas.

• On the first day of Gearsmas, everyone gets a Noobsaw. This means that shots will not interrupt the Lancer’s Chainsaw. Once it gets revving, only a kill can stop it.

• On the second day of Gearsmas, it’s time for some melee instagib. One attack will tear your enemy to shreds in the usual messy fashion, with no need to hit twice.

• On the third day of Gearsmas, you’ll get three Frag Grenades for every pickup. Worried about saving that last grenade? Just throw it—you’ve got three of ‘em.

• On the fourth day of Gearsmas, Boomshots rule the day. Four shots, more bang for your boom.

• On the fifth day, Wingman converts to five one-man teams. Get ready for 1x1x1x1x1 action all day.

• On the sixth day, you get six satellites powering the Hammer of Dawn. Think infinite ammo, Gears 1–style.

• On the seventh day, each mortar gets seven shells instead of the typical three. Bombs away!

• On the eighth day, it’s a blast from the past with eight retro gamers—four vs. four, in classic Gears action. (Note that Horde and Wingman won’t be affected by this change.)

• On the ninth day, the Boomers invade Horde mode. You’ll get squads of Boomers on all waves ending in the number 9.

• On the tenth day, you’ll get 10 waves of Kantus to spice up your Horde experience—if you can survive it, that is…

• On the eleventh day, eleven meatflags will be taunting (Chaps + 10 players = 11!), so you can go ahead and add double experience to Submission matches.

• And the twelfth day? How about all 11 modifications applied all at once? Get ready for total action-packed Gears mayhem!

• If that wasn’t enough, there’s still one more surprise: Golden weapons will be unlocked for all 12 days, and the current double XP will convert to triple XP. And that means that Days 11 and 12 will be 6x XP in Submission. Chaps better get his running shoes on!

Me da la risa. Ayer estuvimos jugando unos Gears en interconexión, y para mi sorpresa me encuentro que me han reseteado el nivel alcanzado... Y me ha tocado volver a empezar con nivel 1... Cojones tiene...

Por cierto, miedo me da a mi lo del nivel, acabo de entrar y sigo con el 17, pero al entrar a logros solo me salían 7 páginas y sin iconos. Luego ya me han aparecido todas de nuevo, pero algunas seguían sin los iconos. Me da a mi que están tocando algo estos cabrones, y me parece fatal que anden borrando niveles cuando no estamos haciendo nada ilegal...

Actualizo! El tema de los niveles no es por tema de que estén haciendo algo en MS/Epic, sino que es por un bug al conectarte a una consola no actualizada!

Ok so it looks like two different things are going on here and people are mixing them together. Here's what we know -

1. Just MP level gets reset.

This is an issue where after you have upgraded to TU3 on one box, you play on another box that has not yet been upgraded and so it throws out all the new TU3 data in your profile. This one is not really fixable because it would require us going back in time and making the released version aware of the new data and not throw it away. Since we track matches played, we're investigating ways of restoring player levels in a future title update, even if it's not 100%, it should be better than nothing. We're really sorry for this issue but at the time of release we had no idea we were going to change the profile data so fundamentally in future title updates.

2. All achievement progression is lost.

As Xenokai mentioned in this thread, this has nothing to do with TU3 but is an issue we've been trying to fix for some time now. Unfortunately we haven't been able to reproduce it on a consistent basis so we aren't able to confirm that we have successfully fixed it. Essentially it looks like if a profile is loaded during a loading screen (or power is lost while saving) then it's possible for the profile to become corrupted. It's a really tricky timing issue and we've heard it most from people who regularly sign in during the game loading up and not beforehand. This may be why it happened to a few people in splitscreen where the second person signs in while the game has a loading screen up. We're continuing to work on this issue and are investigating what if anything can be done to restore lost data.

Y una posible solución:

To the people with the War journel reset.

When it looks like it's reset are you seeing all the Progress bars wiped to zero or are just seeing a few progress bars?

Because it has happened to me a few times but it does not show all of the War journel so what you need to do is

Exit War Journel
Load up Multi-player (Don't play a game)
Exit Multi-player
Then reload War journel
All your progress will be their
